Über die Universität:
The university looks extremely wonderful and they have a grocery store and Starbucks on campus. It's something completely different than Deggendorf and a rather interesting experience.
I did the IBEX programme in the Hogeschool Rotterdam and it was a rather interesting experience. The classes are completely different from Deggendorf where we focus quiet a lot on practicing theoretical subjects and we're graded based solely on our final exams, while in Rotterdam most of the courses are graded according to presentations, reports, performance and participation in class and attendance. You have 2 periods in your programme and subjects are spread across the two periods. Most subjects have 5 classes, and attendance is compulsory for most of them.

I also met a great group of students and have made several long term friends from all over the world and hopefully you will enjoy it as well.

I would say most courses are quiet easy and relaxed, but the organization for the programme was rather poor. Sometimes students weren't sure if they had class in the morning and were notified if they did or not at perhaps 10 pm the day before which was rather frustrating.

Betreuung vor Ort:
You should certainly contact the international relations office, if you have any problems as they are always trying to do their best to help and find a solution. The local support is quiet good as the dutch are extremely friendly people and always willing to help. One factor I really loved about the Netherlands is how open people are. I was lost several times in the city as i'm not used to using public transportation and when I asked people, they were of great help and some people even showed me the way in case I still didn't understand what they were trying to say as I am bad with directions.
Accommodation is also quiet easy to find as the universities student housing office arranges everything for you and try to find you suitable accommodation, but you could probably get a good place as well on your own, but it won't necessarily be close to the city centre and a little bit more expensive than what you'd pay for the student housing.
Most of the students get placed in the Erasmus International House, which is quiet comfortable and extremely good for its price. There you have one of the best views of Rotterdam from the terrace. The Erasmus Lodge is also nice, quiet and spacy for it's price but then again, you could also be unlucky and end up in a small room in the other less comfortable student houses. Something that you should know is that your residence contract ends the day after your semester ends, which is rather inconvenient if you'd like to spend more time in Rotterdam. I believe you can extend your contract a few days more (the contract is a terminated contract and starts when your course begins and ends as soon as it ends) if you inform them as soon as you arrive. Unfortunately i did not know you could do this, so it caused quiet an inconvenience for me.

Tipps:
Make friends, study hard, party hard and don't smoke too much weed.
